Are you an innovative and self-motivated Technical Specialist with a passion for converting business requirements into realisable products? We are searching for a collaborative professional who has solid technical experience in a complex and agile environment.  

Working at Telstra in this role means you will help Australians connect faster by providing a wider spectrum of services for our internal Telstra stakeholders.

As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will provide specialist analysis, design and development to the national CTI and IVR platforms, specifically having due regard to IP network connectivity technology, to deliver products and infrastructure to defined service level standards. The translation of business outcomes into network designs and implementation plans, integration with existing networks and hardware and compliance with Telstra's security requirements will be part of your day-to-day undertakings.

You will have sound experience in applying rigor around often complicated solutions, as well as be able to effectively communicate viable solutions to the business.  Working within a collaborative environment, you will excel in teamwork as well as when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Working with highly technical resources, you will have Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification as well as an extensive background in IP Networking including a good understanding of IPV4 & IPV6, network virtualisation, routing, firewall and load balancer technology.  A significant understanding and knowledge of large scale network environments, implementation planning, change management and fault triage will also receive favourable consideration.

Extensive knowledge of some or all of the following, Cisco switches and routers, F5 Big-IP LTM and GTM, Juniper Netscreen ISG2000, Checkpoint firewalls and MPLS networks are a must.  A solid understanding of the Telco- Media environment, Oracle Solaris or Linux, Windows Server 2k8 and VMWare will also be of significant benefit in supporting Telstra's Contact Centre offerings to customers.
