This project places Telstra at the heart of the Department of Defence. Telstra aims to deliver a capability that can become the backbone of Australian Defence for the next decade and beyond. A vital link connecting troops, commanders, bases and allies, it will underpin both day-to-day operations and mission critical communications, helping our forces to defend our nation, its people and their interests.

We are seeking the most talented people to transform the Defence communication network and take it into another dimension. You will become part of one of our largest programs of work to date

The Role:

Currently the Telstra Defence Engagement Business Unit has a requirement for a Service Continuity Manager. This role will be based in Canberra and will be engaged as a permanent full time role.

As a Service Continuity Manager within Telstra Defence Engagement Business Unit you will ensure that all aspects of Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery are up to standard. This will involve the development, implementation, testing and continual improvement of Service Continuity and Business Continuity Plans.

In addition, the Service Continuity Manager is responsible for making sure that Telstra's operational capability is as strong as possible managing potential risks that could impact the contracted services and agreed Service Levels

Requirements:

Update, maintain, manage, test and implement the Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery (SC&DR) plans and activities that relate to the continued provisioning of the services
Development of SC&DR plans where necessary
Auditing of existing SC&DR plans to ensure accuracy
Co-ordination and scheduling of the testing of SC&DR plans
Strong understanding and experience in ITIL methodology
Knowledge of Change Management processes in relation to ITIL
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
